Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality are hot and happening. Both VR and AR can be a great way to innovate your curriculum or simulate training situations that in real life are quite costly, or hard to create, for instance because of safety reasons. It is not surprising that many educational institutions are looking for ways to use these instruments in their programs. However, where do you start? Which hardware do you need to buy and which software will you use? In order to find an answer to these questions, the Allview Center of Vocational Excellence, focussing on the furniture and wood sector, created this overview of options. Although this report is focussing on the applications of VR and AR in the furniture and wood sector, educators in other sectors probably will find it an interesting read as well.
